Hi everyone,
I’m currently exploring sustainable energy solutions for healthcare facilities in Queensland, with a particular focus on solar hot water systems. I have experience with evacuated tube solar hot water collectors in commercial buildings across QLD, and they’ve proven to be effective in those settings. However, I haven’t yet applied them in a healthcare environment.
My main concern is whether these systems would be accepted by the Building, Engineering, and Maintenance Teams in hospitals. Given the critical need for reliability and the potential for rigorous scrutiny in health facilities, I’m curious if anyone has experience with using evacuated tube systems in this context.
Have you faced any challenges with approval or acceptance from these teams? Are there other solar hot water options that might be more suitable or more readily accepted in a hospital setting?

I’d greatly appreciate hearing about your experiences, recommendations, and any advice you might have.
Looking forward to your insights!
